Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Slotwise, built and operated by SKO TechLabs, collects, uses, and protects information when a business and its customers use our online appointment-booking platform. It applies both to the businesses that sign up for Slotwise and to the customers who book appointments through a Slotwise booking page.
What data we collect
We collect a few different kinds of information:
- Your business account data — your name, business name, email, phone number, and any other profile or business details you give us when you sign up and use the console.
- Customer data collected through bookings — when your customers book an appointment, we store the details needed to manage that booking: name, phone number, email, any notes attached to the appointment, and booking history.
- Payment references — transaction IDs and payment references for your subscription payments and for any payments you record through Slotwise, so payments can be tracked and verified.
- Basic usage data — information about how the console and booking page are used, such as pages visited and actions taken, which helps us understand how Slotwise is used and where it can be improved.
How we use data
We use this data to:
- Run the booking service — showing availability, taking bookings, and managing your calendar and customer records;
- Send booking confirmations, reminders, and receipts by email and SMS;
- Provide customer support when you contact us; and
- Improve Slotwise, by understanding how the product is used and where it can be made better.
Who we share data with
We don't sell data, and we only share it with third parties where it's needed to run the service:
- Email and SMS delivery providers, to send booking confirmations, reminders, and receipts on your behalf;
- SSLCommerz, our payment gateway, to process online card and mobile banking payments securely.
These providers only receive the data they need to do their job, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Data ownership
The customer data collected through your bookings belongs to you, the business. Slotwise acts as a processor — we store and process that data on your instructions, to provide the booking service to you. We don't use your customers' data for our own marketing, and we don't sell it to anyone.
Data retention and deletion
We keep data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward in case you reactivate your account or need it for your own record-keeping. If you'd like your account data or your customers' data deleted, contact us at hello@skotechlabs.com and we'll action your request, subject to any legal or accounting requirements that mean certain records need to be kept for a period.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the data stored in Slotwise, including access controls, encryption where appropriate, and secure storage. No system is ever perfectly secure, but we take data protection seriously and work continuously to keep your information — and your customers' information — safe.
Cookies
Slotwise uses cookies on both the booking page and the console — mainly to keep you logged in between visits, and to gather basic, non-intrusive analytics on how these pages are used, so we can understand what's working well and what isn't.
Children's privacy
Slotwise is intended for use by businesses and their adult customers. It is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from children through the platform.
Your rights
You — and, through you, your customers — can ask to access, correct, or delete personal data held in Slotwise. To make a request, contact us at hello@skotechlabs.com and we'll help you sort it out.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as Slotwise evolves. Any changes will be posted here with an updated effective date, and continued use of Slotwise after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
Governing law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Bangladesh.
