Opening hours, breaks and closures

Set your weekly hours, block out breaks, and close the booking page for holidays.

Where this lives

Your business's opening hours, weekly breaks, and holiday closures are all set in one place, alongside the general booking rules for your business. Go to https://slotwise.skotechlabs.com/app/opening-hours to manage them.

These hours are the foundation for everything customers see on your booking page: a team member or location can only be booked inside hours you've opened up here, so it's worth setting them up carefully before you share your booking page.

Set your weekly hours

  1. Go to https://slotwise.skotechlabs.com/app/opening-hours.
  2. For each day of the week, add one or more time ranges the business is open — for example 9:00–13:00 and 14:00–18:00, so an unpaid lunch break sits between them automatically.
  3. Add more ranges to a day if you open and close more than twice, or need more than one break.
  4. Click Save.

Mark a closed day

  1. On the same weekly hours screen, find the day you don't open.
  2. Remove its time ranges, or mark the day as closed.
  3. Click Save. The booking page won't offer any times on that day.

Add a closure or holiday

  1. Go to https://slotwise.skotechlabs.com/app/opening-hours and find the closures/holidays section.
  2. Add a new closure with a date, or a date range — for example a public holiday, or a day you're shutting early for staff training.
  3. Click Save. The booking page stops offering times during the closure automatically; you don't need to touch individual services or team members.

Booking rules live here too

This same settings page also holds your business's general booking rules — things like slot interval, minimum notice, how many days ahead customers can book, and whether bookings need manual approval. See "Booking rules explained" for what each rule does and how to set it.

Tip Team members aren't locked to the business hours. Anyone with different availability can have their own weekly hours set on their profile in Team, breaks included.

Tip Add holiday closures as soon as you know about them. The booking page blocks those dates automatically, so you won't need to manually decline bookings later.

Tip If your lunch break moves seasonally — shorter in one season, longer in another — just update the time ranges for the affected days rather than closing early and reopening the next day.
