Reviews
How review requests go out, how customers rate you, and how to manage what's shown.
How review requests work
After an appointment is marked Completed, Slotwise can automatically send the customer a review request. You choose how long to wait first — the delay is set in hours, so you might send it an hour after a quick service, or the next morning after a late one. The delay, and whether the request goes by email, SMS, or both, are set alongside Review request in Settings → Messages & reminders — see "Confirmations and reminders".
Tip Match the delay to your service. A quick appointment might suit a same-day request, while a longer one often reads better the next day, once the customer has had time to reflect.
How customers leave a review
The review request links to the customer's manage link, the same link they use to view, reschedule, or cancel their booking. After the visit, that link lets them:
- Leave a rating from 1 to 5 stars.
- Add a written comment.
Only completed appointments trigger a review request, so reviews stay tied to visits that actually happened.
Replying to a review
- Go to https://slotwise.skotechlabs.com/app/reviews.
- Find the review you want to reply to.
- Click Reply.
- Write your response and click Save.
Your reply appears next to the review, so keep it professional — it's as visible to future customers as the review itself.
Tip Reply to negative reviews calmly and professionally. Your reply is public, so it often matters more to future customers than the review itself.
Hiding or showing a review
- Go to https://slotwise.skotechlabs.com/app/reviews.
- Find the review.
- Click Hide to remove it from your booking page, or Show to bring a hidden review back.
Hidden reviews don't count toward your average rating and don't appear on your booking page.
Tip Save hiding for spam or reviews that don't match a real appointment. A few honest 4-star reviews often look more credible than a perfect score.
Where your rating appears
Your average rating shows in two places:
- On your own booking page, where customers see it before they book.
- On the Explore directory, where new customers browse businesses like yours.
Tip A strong average rating helps you stand out on the Explore directory, where customers are comparing several businesses at once — it's worth prompting every customer for a review.
